Boscoe France first picked up a guitar at age three. Influenced by Freddie King, Elmore James, and Duane Allman, it was his uncle Duke who made the biggest impact on his playing. Boscoe fronts the Boscoe France Band with John Gillespie and Jimmy Cummings. In addition, he is one of six finalists in the huge Guitar Center Battle of the Blues competition – playing for $25,000, studio time with Grammy winner Pete Anderson, and more prizes too long to list.
Boscoe and John came in studio for conversation and performance, and discussed a variety of topics, including the success of the band, the competition, the live music scenearound Evansville, Indiana, and much much more.
