Playlist for the Week of August 27, 2012

Full-Time Blues Radio is back with an hour of the best music on the airwaves, including big names this week alongside truly independent up-and-comers. There was a ton of new music that arrived in the past two weeks, and i’ll be incorporating it into episodes as much as possible. Many of those releases are in this week’s show, including the hot new album from Linsey Alexander, which was featured in “Johnny’s Mailbox.” The album, Been There Done That, is available now on Delmark Records.

In Blues News, this week, I mentioned Boscoe France’s huge win in the Battle of the Blues Competition. You can read more about that in an earlier post on this website.
In addition, there was news about the successful benefits held in honor of Chris Tapp, frontman for The Cold Stares, who is battling cancer. Continued prayers and word of encouragement are appreciated, and you can connect to the band on their website, TheColdStares.com In addition, if you’re looking for a way to help, consider purchasing their new album. Not only do you show your support for the band, but you get an amazing album in return – an album that is consistently the number one purchased mp3 Blues album on Amazon.com!
Purchase A Cold Wet Night and a Howling Wind
