No special themes this week, just amazing new music! The Home for New and Independent Blues Music lives up to its name, with a dozen 2013 releases.

The featured selection from inside “Johnny’s Mailbox” is a previously unreleased track by Van Morrison. “I Shall Sing” was recorded during the original Moondance sessions more than 43 years ago. This fabulous song didn’t make the cut at the time, but has been included in the brand new Deluxe Edition of Moondance. The original album is one of the greatest records ever made, and this new set has expanded it to four discs and a Blu-Ray audio of the original album. There’s also a two-disc version featuring only the best outtakes, alternate versions and lost songs; or a single disc version featuring the remastered original album.
