The International Blues Challenge is known as the world’s largest battle of the bands, because more than 200 acts come to Memphis, Tennessee each year for a chance to win some great prizes, take their careers to the next level, and be recognized as the top undiscovered talent in the world of Blues music.

In 2014, nearly 250 solo acts, duos, and full bands will take over Beale Street to celebrate the great American music and compete; but they will also fellowship over the one thing that we all love so dearly: Blues music.

This week, Full-Time Blues Radio previews the 30th International Blues Challenge, which features events January 21-26. In this hour of the show, you’ll hear a small sample of bands and artists who will be competing in either the band or solo/duo categories at the 2014 IBC.
