After three special episodes, it is time to get back into the business of new and independent Blues music here on Full-Time Blues Radio. There’s a fantastic selection of new arrivals this week, featuring 10 out of 12 releases coming from 2014, several of which are making their debut on the show. There’s established names, young guns on the rise, and a brand new album by Keb Mo!

This week’s featured selection from inside “Johnny’s Mailbox” is “I Refuse to Lose” by Jarekus Singleton. The song provided the title for Jarekus’ Alligator Records debut album Refuse To Lose, which is available now. Jarekus is a 29-year-old Mississippi native who has worked hard in his young life, and is starting to gain a ton of momentum in the Blues community. He draws on his favorite artists from a huge selection of different genres to create his own signature brand of next-gen Blues.
