Continuing to bring you the widest variety of new Blues releases, Johnny Full-Time is once again hard at work inside The Home For New & Independent Blues Music. This week’s program features some stone cold Blues numbers, some acoustic based material, and a featured selection from inside “Johnny’s Mailbox” that comes from Danish Bluesman Thorbjorn Risager!

In addition, make sure to check out the following link to a featured video of Vaneese Thomas. She stopped by the studios of WREG-TV to discuss her new album Blues For My Father and perform some tracks off the record! Click Here to Watch

The featured selection from inside “Johnny’s Mailbox” this week is “Drowning.” As I mentioned above, it comes off the new album by Thorbjorn Risager and The Black Tornado. The album, Too Many Roads, is available now from Ruf Records. The band has been together for many years now, playing a unique and powerful style of Blues music. I mentioned in the show no one is making music like this; but I quickly amended that to note you can hear a distinct Tom Waits influence. It’s certainly worth exploring further.
